A new survey released today by the polling firm McLaughlin and Associates shows an increase in Second Amendment support as a result of the situation in Ukraine.
The question, asked of 1,000 voters, was, “When you see what is going on with Vladimir Putin and Russia’s military invasion of the Ukraine, it is more important than ever for Americans to defend their 2nd Amendment Constitutional freedoms for law-abiding citizens to continue to have the right to own guns for their personal protection.“
Of the total, 66.1% agreed with the statement, while 25.7% disagreed and 8.2% (whoever those idiots are), had no opinion. The entire poll can be accessed here. Those surveyed were asked a number of questions about other general election topics besides the Second Amendment, and some of those are interesting to read, too. For example, 65.1% of those polled felt things are off-track in the United States right now. Such surveys are being used to warn voters of a coming Republican, or “red” wave, coming this November.
